Environmental Review Committee

DMS has established an Environmental Review Committee (ERC) for the Donald Project. The first meeting took place in June 2026.

The ERC, a commitment under the project Environment Effects Statement, will:

Scrutinise environmental performance against commitments in the Victorian Government-approved work plan
Receive project updates
Discuss community feedback

An independent chairperson leads themeetings under formal Terms of Reference. Members serve two-year renewable terms.

ERC membership includes epresentatives of community, government, and other local and regional interest and advocacy groups.

DMS acknowledges the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia, and Jupagulk peoples as the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Donald Project sits. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. We will work respectfully with the Barengi Gadjin Land Council, which represents the five peoples, to ensure this project delivers meaningful benefits to Traditional Owners, the broader community, and the region as a whole.‍
